Andy Ellis MSc MCIArb is a highly regarded construction project, contract, and disputes professional with more than 23 years' experience across complex, high-value construction projects and programmes.

His career has progressed through Site Manager, Project Manager, Framework Manager, Contracts Manager and Senior Contracts Manager roles, giving him a breadth of practical, operational, contractual and commercial experience that is rarely found in one person. He has led substantial projects and portfolios across commercial, industrial, residential, student accommodation, heritage, retail, mixed-use and refurbishment sectors.

Andy has worked at the sharp end of construction, managing complex stakeholder environments, demanding programmes, contractual obligations and commercial pressures — particularly when projects encounter difficulties, relationships become strained or the original plan starts to unravel.

That experience led to the creation of ELLIS Construction Consulting: providing contractors and construction businesses with access to experienced senior construction and disputes expertise when they need it, without the cost or commitment of another full-time appointment.

Whether a project is already in distress or the early warning signs are emerging, Andy's approach is centred on early intervention. He works with parties to establish what is really happening, understand the contractual and commercial position, develop a practical route forward and resolve issues before they become formal disputes.

Where disputes do arise, the objective remains the same: find a pragmatic and commercially sensible resolution wherever possible, protect relationships, minimise further loss and avoid unnecessary escalation.
